Fresh-Aire UV was recently spotlighted by WPEC CBS-12 News in West Palm Beach for their collaboration with Kaluz Restaurant in Wellington, Florida and Wagner’s Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. The upscale restaurant decided to take extra measures to encourage more indoor dining for their patrons by adding ultraviolet light air purification systems, developed by Fresh-Aire UV.
“Like most business owners, we’ve felt a huge downturn because of the pandemic,” said David Baldwin, Owner Operator of Kaluz Restaurant in Wellington. “We’ve realized that we’ve got to do something to get our customers comfortable with coming back to indoor dining, especially with the hot summer coming back.”
The systems are installed inside the restaurant’s air conditioning system and neutralize micro organisms as the air flows through the UV light. This results in a cleaner coil and air duct system.
“UV light in laboratory testing has been shown to be exceptionally efficient at neutralizing SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes the COVID-19 disease,” said Aaron Engel, Vice President of Business Development at Fresh Aire UV. “It’s been a well established technology that the CDC recognizes in combination with filtration and ventilation.”
Adding to the peace of mind with the new Fresh-Aire UV air purification systems at Kaluz Restaurant will be QR codes at each table explaining the extra measures taken, as well as window decals and an easel sign upon entry.
